Migrt
Understand the code.
Plan what comes next.
Migrt is an in-development software modernization intelligence tool. It analyzes approved code repositories to surface dependencies, architectural risks, and evidence for planning change.

The project bio.
Purpose. Evidence. Next steps.
- 01 Goal
- Help teams understand existing software and prioritize modernization work before making changes.
- 02 Technologies
- Node.js and JavaScript modules; browser-native HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; shared analyzer and domain packages; container definitions for staging.
- 03 Development approach
- Build deterministic analysis first, preserve evidence for findings, and add regression coverage as capabilities expand.
- 04 Technical approach
- A browser dashboard connects to an API and modular analysis engine for inventory, dependency relationships, risk assessments, and roadmap generation.
- 05 Programming style
- Modular JavaScript with explicit contracts and separate analysis, domain, persistence, API, and presentation responsibilities.
- 06 Testing
- Regression and adversarial suites cover analysis behavior and runtime boundaries. Recorded conformance checks verify selected analyzer contracts; they do not establish a public release.
- 07 Safeguards
- Repository access boundaries, authenticated runtime options, request limits, analysis concurrency limits, and timeouts. Deployment configuration still needs operational verification.
- 08 Status
- In development, with a local dashboard, API, analysis implementation, and staging deployment instructions. Public access and launch timing are not announced here.
WHAT THE CURRENT FOUNDATION DOES
Map the system.
Make the next move informed.
The implemented foundation supports repository assessment and rule-based roadmap generation. Findings help engineers investigate and prioritize; they are not a guarantee that a migration is safe.
- 01
Inspect
Inventory an approved repository and identify technology and dependency relationships.
- 02
Assess
Examine architecture, interfaces, data-layer signals, and test readiness within supported analysis scope.
- 03
Plan
Use evidence and rule-based findings to guide a modernization roadmap.
BUILT TODAY. PLANNED NEXT.
Understand before
transforming.
- Current implementation.Repository analysis, assessments, saved project records, and a dashboard for reviewing results.
- Future direction.Broader AI-assisted reasoning, migration execution, and increasingly autonomous orchestration are product direction, not completed capabilities.
- Next milestone.Validate a complete hosted release, access configuration, and backup/recovery procedures before a controlled pilot.
